what I miss...
- the given price and the actual price being the exact. same. thing.
- straightforwardness. telling it like it is.
- nice, orderly lines.
- apologies.
- smaller crowds.
- toilets in public places
- bigger kitchens.
- dryers.
- being able to read everything.
- McDonalds minus the 15 second jingle that is on constant repeat.
- predictable drivers
- elevators.
- drinking water straight out of the tap.
- the ability to walk down the street without attracting everyone's attention.
- soft mattresses.
- toilets in public places that are stocked with toilet paper and some method of handwashing.
what I will (one day) miss ...
- cheap utilities.
- big, spacious apartments.
- small classes.
- the food.
- cheap DVDs.
- my rooftop patio.
- respectful students.
- McDonalds delivery.
- cheap EVERYTHING.
- Lunar New Year fireworks.
- the feeling of being rich when my wallet is full of ... (almost) worthless bills.
- the lengths to which local friends will go to help me.
- whistle-worthy legs (thanks to living on the sixth floor)
- my cleaning lady.
