Maybe Santa forgot to hitch Rudolph (and his shiny nose) to the front of his sleigh, and the plane didn't see him?

or that Daddy saw red when he saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus.
Some kid could have been really angry when he didn't get anything for Christmas. I could see a kid who asked for a hippopotamus or their two front teeth being especially livid upon the discovery of an empty stocking.
Or maybe it was just someone completely and totally fed up with the notion of silly Christmas songs and needed someone to blame.
